Mathematics teaches us how to make sense of the world around us. It plays an essential part in our everyday life; critical to science, design, sport, technology, engineering and financial literacy. We endeavour to provide a mastery curriculum that is creative and ambitious in its approach, rich in skills and knowledge which ignites curiosity and a desire to learn. Pupils learn mathematics skills and identify connections and patterns between the different strands of the discipline developing fluency, reasoning and problem solving. We passionately believe that every child is capable of not only succeeding in mathematics but also developing an appreciation of its power and its beauty.
A high-quality mathematics education therefore provides a foundation for understanding the world.
